He
eventually ended his European career
four years ago with French side
Marseille after spells with Monaco,
Paris St Germain, Chelsea and Manchester
City.
He then
played for Al Jazirah in the United Arab
Emirates.
"I'm no
longer a professional player but
football is still part of my life," said
the 38-year-old.
Weah's
next challenge is to contest the
presidential election due in Liberia by
October.
France's
Zinedine Zidane, 2004 European
Footballer of the Year Andrei Shevchenko
and Chelsea's Ivory Coast striker Didier
Drogba have all accepted Weah's
invitation to play in the match.
"He's an
example all over Africa," said Drogba.
"I was too young to play with him so
this farewell match is a dream come true
for me."
