The Liberia Track and Field team left the
country yesterday to participate in this
year’s World Senior Championship competition
in Helsinki, Finland.
At the competition Liberia will be
represented by three athletes based in the
United States of America.
The
three Liberian track stars include Suitan
Tucker, Kou Lougon and Onell Wright.
The Liberia delegation includes the
President of the Liberia Track and Field
Federation (LTFF), Henry O. Williams, is
heading the delegation, along with Secretary
General, David Kollie.
They are expected to attend a special
general assembly before the commencement of
the competition.
Also expected to form part of the
Liberian delegation is the LTFF
international liaison Christopher Sayer.
This is the second major competition
Liberia is participating in. Recently she
was at the World Youth Championship in
Morocco. |
